Steve Jobs quotes and I repeat “Learn continually - There is always one more thing to learn”. Good morning respected teachers and judges and greetings to my worthy opponents. Today, I H.Jatin Vikash of grade 8, a student of AmbiencePublicSchool am here to put forth my view against the motion.

Since the day of Covid outbreak every morning students all over the world were forced to sit for online classes. Now as the world is moving back to its normal we have the hybrid form of education.

Here some part of the syllabus is taught online or virtually while the rest would be taught in offline classes. Moreover, there also takes place simultaneous teaching of the online and offline students when the school is open for offline days. I strongly believe this type of education system is not at all acceptable. Firstly, the teachers are unable to give attention on both groups of students. What this means is that there forms a parity whether to pay more attention to the online or the offline ones. Also, most of the materials such as class notes , homework are being shared online and most of the projects make use of the internet , this has become a major disadvantage as all students are not able to access all the material online .

Another point to enlighten here is that the majority of students have become disorganized as they have developed the habit of skipping classes and playing games in between the classes. Calling students offline for twice a week will not help them become habitual with their normal school rules.

One strong argument that I would like to put forth is that due to this on going scenario pupils have lost contact with their teachers which will be difficult to gain back. The opportunity of having a free discussion with friends and teachers regarding a specific topic has been lost .

More over with this hybrid education system it has become difficult for teachers to keep record of the students , as it is not very clear of who would be coming to school and who won’t. In addition to that teaching the same topic without skipping any content to both groups of students becomes a burden for the educators.

The pith of all these ideas gives a student the freedom of not attending classes as per his or her wish which deteriorates his management skills.These skills are one of the most vital ones in order to have a bright future.

The final point that I would like to tell here is an issue faced by schools. Schools have to make arrangements for the new hybrid mode of education system such as smart boards and laptops which won’t be easy for all phrontisteries.

Hence, this clearly proves that hybrid education system becomes inefficient from the point of students, teachers and all education institutes. I would end by thanking everyone to give me the opportunity to put forth my opinions.
