MY IDEA OF A SAFE AND PEACEFUL CYBER SPACE 

This world is home to all living species including us. But we humans have a separate world, a special one ‘the digital world’. This digital world fulfils all our needs and necessities in the best possible way, just like our Nature. Bank transactions, online shopping, education, entertainment including games and an endless list are provided without us getting up from the seat! We can sit at our place and walk through the grocery store. Places can be viewed realistically without spending a penny. 

However, no matter how many facilities we have, there is always a darker side. Safety is the key for survival in any world. In our day-to-day life there are many incidents of robbery and crime that happen despite high security system. In the same manner, digital world has several such digital robbers along with innumerable victims of their hidden traps. It is also famous for the countless ways through which these trickeries happen. Most of the victims are the youth, old and women. 

To prevent all of these at a maximum level, people must be aware of certain safety rules. Parents must be alert and should restrict children from clicking unknown popups and links. Ads and pop-up blocker extension must be installed in browsers. While surfing through various websites, web address must contain a lock symbol as well as the keyword ‘https:’. If unknown OTP is received then it mustn’t be used without verifying if it’s sent by the real authorities. 

People should log-out from any website after using it. Banking transactions should be carried out cautiously. Credit card and pin numbers should never be shared. If each person remains prudent and follows these basic yet crucial edifications, the fear of being cheated in this global cyber population would soon be eradicated.
